Jelly Roll on Minnesota.

That’s the one I have flashbacks of.

Looking back, Cowan killlled him game 1. 8-15 for 24 points. Game 2 he got 17 but Z held him to 4-8 shooting.

That does scare me though because out of all point guards in the big ten, Gray reminds me the most of Cowan. Lightning quick with probably an even better shot

Bump.

Gray is beyond scary

On the down side, those dudes from Houston must be well-rested from watching Rob Gray all night

Interestingly Cowan got off 6 3’s in first game but only 2 in rematch. I would bet that was a priority. I think it will be a priority Saturday should M defeat Montana

Why did the idiot announcers keep saying that SDSU’s last shot would have tied the game? They said that like 3 times.

Holy crap, that would be the worst possible start

The “Michigan’s starters lost to their backups in practice” story feels a lot less funny now

Is there a worse tournament coach in my lifetime than Sean Miller? No, no there is no one worse.

I’m pretty frustrated Poole got 0 minutes in the 2nd half. He’s been an important part of our quality depth for 2 months straight, was in a giant cold spell, comes in and nails his first theee under the bright lights in a huge spot down 10-2…then sits the bench while our offense sputters and we play with zero spark or energy on that side of the floor all night.

I know he’s a role player. But I really want him to be given a chance to play his role when this team needs it most.

CMatt having a huge game. Especially on the glass and defensively. I love Poole as much as the next guy but there was no reason to take Matthews out.

Didn’t have to be for Matthews who was incredible. Could have been for MAAR who was way off. Just don’t like the concept of trimming our rotation when I’d say depth is one of our biggest strengths this year

Kenny Smith making excuses for Sean Miller. BS. Team wasn’t distracted during the Pac 12 tournament.

Sean Miller, as usual, got his butt outcoached - appallingly - because he is a TERRIBLE coach. Garbage coach.

You pay your players and you stink at coaching them. Bum.

Matthews was the only guy out there playing with any poise at all. Even the usually RAHK-solid MAAR was a hot mess. It’s Teske who I’d have liked to see more of.

I don’t think Coach Beilein had trust in Poole’s ability to handle their pressure. Probably didn’t like his chances of staying in front of their guards either. I would have played Poole but clearly Beilein felt different.

Yeah if this team becomes just Wagner, Matthews, MAAR, Duncan, Z for 35 minutes each down the stretch I’m not nearly as confident as if JB utilizes Teske, Livers, Poole, and Simmons more whenever those guys are outplaying the starters and deserve the minutes. Even if it’s just one 4 minute stretch each, it’s been a major part of our success for the last two months IMO.

I was amazed by how often Simpson and MAAR were missing wide open guys around the basket after the trap. It was really odd. Also, our fast breaks were absurdly bad today. Thank God we have the defense that we do.

Yeah I’m thinking you’re right. He also stuck with Z after he threw two consecutive full court interceptions up 10 with less than 10 minutes left for no reason. I was absolutely shocked he didn’t get taken off in that sequence.

But thats exactly what worries me is that JB might only have 5 guys he’s going to trust in these games. Which would be a shame with how deep we have been all season

Pretty funny that we beat the spread and beat the kenpom spread by 6. Didn’t feel like that.
