I’m trying to imagine how bad they would be had Diakite not withdrawn from the draft. It’s a terrifying consideration.

Big fight spills over from the court into the baseline seats at the end of KU-KState

Holy shit. What is even going on here? I assume the guy in the black shirt/white pants is a KSU guy and everyone on Kansas just goes at him?

Edit: Found some more context

Did #22 Kansas have a chair or something over his head WWE style until someone grabbed it away from him?

Yes

…and #33 Kansas is stomping someone? OMG.

What kind of discipline will come from this???

For Kansas? Not much. They seem to dodge every sanction pretty well.

Yak’s defensive philosophy seems to require some really good on ball defenders to relieve some of the pressure on help. Plus, it’s tough to see him turning around what I thought to be a Shaka driven dumpster fire. Who knows what the practice/team dynamic is like. I kind of feel bad for the guy. I know it was a high major move and technically a promotion(fact check?), but living in Texas–I would’ve ran from that job.

Saw a funny line that somehow the Big 12 will find a way to fine Texas Tech for it.

A lot.
Isn’t leaving the bench an automatic ejection? They have to make that a suspension under these circumstances. There were a number of punches thrown. There will be suspensions for those. Players fighting in the seats, endangering fans, surely they need serious suspensions for that. When was the last time that happened at a college game?
The Big XII is going to be combing through all the film they can get. They will probably have to stagger some of the suspensions.
De Souza is at the center of it, just like KU’s NCAA charges. I don’t see the Big XII protecting them now. As far as KU is concerned, bad timing that Baylor took over the #1 ranking.

Did that guy see the Malice at the Palace? You had Artest and Jackson throwing haymakers against fans

Don’t forget about Jermaine O’Neal. He was about to end a fan’s life if he didn’t slip before he threw his punch.

Wow. I was watching that KU game but turned it off. Crazy

That’s Austin, Texas. Pretty nice town, to my mind. And I’m not sure Juwan wanted him. For his sake, I’d have liked him to succeed.

“Uh-uh-uh-uh barely alive, barely alive. Uh-uh-uh-uh barely alive!” I remember turning on CBN one day and hearing my brother and some friends singing that in the studio over the BeeGees. . .

Virginia lost De’Andre Hunter as a wing defender, replaced him with a shorter, slower guy, and is #1 in adjusted defensive efficiency. Remember, though, players are essentially all that counts when it comes to defense. Coaching is more or less irrelevant.
