or the opposite, they were in need of a center and missed out

Hunter Sallis is committing tomorrow. Sounds like Gonzaga. Also favorites for Kessler and Chet of course. Wild that Few is just raking in talent now.

I’m going to be really confused if Kessler transfers to Gonzaga and Chet and Timme are both on next year’s roster

Chet at the 3 is fine IMO, but Timme or Kessler at the 4 is just an awkward fit. Kessler at PF didn’t even work in UNC’s two center system.

Chet can play beside either of them. He is a 3 on offense. I could see all three of them at once offensively but not defensively.

All of this is pleasing. Illinois losses out to Bobby Hurley? Fine. Maryland swaps mediocre coaches? Great! Few raking in talent? Well, not pleasing but respect due. Better him than Self and K and Cal and all that.

It’s great that we have someone here on the board minding the potential impacts on Pepperdine. Important.

Nothing but love for Pepperdine in the Boutros household. The campus is right next to our favorite rock climbing spot. Nice team under Romar too. Easy to root for

The rock climbing spot seems relevant and interesting. Tell me more about that aspect of Pepperdin’e basketball.

(I don’t climb outside very often. Rusty anchoring skills. I also don’t use the hangboard I bought a year ago as often as I should, but starting to now. Would be horribly embarassing to have bought it, never used it, and end up back at the gym weak AF…)

I just tie an American Death Triangle and see what happens

I don’t believe Smart is a mediocre coach. If he went to Maryland I can see him killing it in the DMV.

Malibu Creek State Park. Most of my outdoor climbing is at Apes Wall and Point Dume. Both right next to Pepperdine.

Looks absolutely lovely. All banned words aimed at you because of where you live compared to where I live (Baltimore).

I def do. Abilene at least had a valid excuse for running an offense based on small people flinging themselves into human walls.

Why would Shaka leave Texas for Maryland? He’s nervous about getting fired and wants to reset the clock before it happens?

Six years at Texas and not even one tournament win - and he only made it half the time. That’s awfully mediocre.

I agree, he’s worse than mediocre
