Yup, I know compliance folks who had stories about Will Wade and Chris Beard. Pretty easy to read between the line on from this sentence.
If IU don’t want another Sampson situation, Beard isn’t an option for them

Ah, that would make sense.
Wasn’t there something about Beard’s kids being in Texas and he wanted to be close ish to them.
Curious what school it might be. Obvious options to me are Texas and Maryland
Sounds like Maryland. Insiders there think it’s more likely than not Turgeon is gone. I did see some Maryland fans mention Shaka though
I agree the Shaka to Maryland would be interesting, but how about Beilein to Maryland? I think that would be a great fit. Marquette hasn’t managed to hire him yet, IU is clearly looking at some other people, and Maryland is kind of a split between those two jobs in terms of pressure and potential ceiling.
I also think Beilein could win at Maryland pretty quickly. Easier to pull recruits in my opinion than at Marquette.
I think Maryland might be too far from AA for him
It’s also too close to the Big Ten for me…
is Turgeon’s resume good enough for that job?
Feels like the dots are connecting… Rumbles in Md about him leaving for a MW job when there are no MW jobs open… but then one opens after OU insiders said this would happen… seems too convenient.
the Maryland 247 mods are openly rooting for this lol
Seems like maybe Dylan thinks so…
Is there really talk of Maryland hiring Shaka Smart? Smart has pretty much been the Turgeon of the Big 12.
I just saw Maryland fans speculating about it is all. He kind of has connections to the area since he was at VCU
Sounds like ASU took him from Illinois, FWIW.
I’m sure Bobby Hurley will use him well
Doesn’t he know that Arizona State is Guard U?
that’s actually more interesting than the destination IMO
Cockburn coming back confirmed
