Didn’t the Big East go to six fouls back in the day so those teams could maul each other more?
They did for a couple seasons
Waiting for IU? I hope not
My guess is that it would take a phenomenal job to get him out of the midwest. The family didn’t move from Ann Arbor when he went to Cleveland, so I would guess it’ll be a similar situation with his next job. And also, the BC job just really sucks.
ND is even closer to the grandkids than IU.
Now this is the ideal scenario for me as a Boston resident who’s attended a few BC games. Can’t imagine why he’d sign up for a rebuild like that though, unfortunately.
I always figured that IU canning Archie was just message board fodder…is there anything actually there?
Feel like the only reason they wouldn’t is for financial reasons at this point.
I’ve seen numbers on his buyout that I can’t recall now but if IIRC the theme is that it might be too steep this year but in 2022 it’s much more palatable.
Seems odd to just p*ss away another season to save a few bucks. Archie obviously isn’t the answer at this point
Why exactly did they fire Crean? I thought the guy was a jerk but he did win the Big Ten a couple times and get to the Sweet 16…
I’m guessing there is some degree of “weird COVID year” baked into the hesitancy to move on right now. If it’s a normal world and Assembly is full for this season’s six home losses then I think it’s much more likely that he’s cut loose.
But overall I agree that he is not the answer and they’re probably going to suck again next season.
I just don’t understand his roster construction…like, how do you not have any shooters?
Not sure who this guy is or how plugged in he is, but he says that Archie is done barring something drastic:
Speaking of Beilein and family, is Patrick back coaching, or does anyone know if he plans to be? Hope that all works out.
Bones Hyland has 22 first half points against Ibi Watson’s Flyers in the A10 QF
Sounds like a Harbaugh situation(not saying Archie is comparable as a HC caliber wise).
Doesn’t look like it. My guess is that Patrick is going to need to work under his dad to rehab himself.
This!!! I mean it’s Home of the Hickory Hoosiers for pete’s sakes.
Bones was in the top 30 draft board on the Athletic the other day, I’m pretty sure
