Not sure if posted but some rumblings Brey and notre dame may be parting ways, can’t imagine a much more perfect job for beilein. Jesuit school, in the Midwest, football school, no recruiting expectations, elite academics good history, and national profile.

Yeah that would be a perfect fit. The personnel is probably pretty well suited to running his system as fast as possible as well

This seems like it would make sense for all parties. Brey has pretty much run his course and for ND to move from him to JB would be a good fit.

I guess I’m not as excited about this as most here. I don’t want to see ND succeed in anything, and I don’t want to root against JB either. I guess I only like it in the sense that it’s not IU or some other Big Ten school. Though assuredly for him personally this might be pretty close to ideal.

Would Notre Dame want to hire someone of JB’s age? Whose style is extremely similar to Brey’s? I see the fit, but it’s almost too on the nose
I’d take it as a compromise solution to make sure he’s not in the Big Ten.

In the big picture, ending their NCAA streak would take away one of their recruiting sales pitches. And Juwan could go to 3-1 vs Izzo.

Someone else suggested the idea a while ago that you just take away offensive fouls and I’d be in favor of that. A turnover is punishment enough.
I don’t get this. The NBA is 6/48 minutes and the NCAA is 5/40. Arguing going to the “nba model” isn’t as strong as people think it is.
