Regarding Girard, yes, he takes a lot of low-percentage shots, which is why he, naturally enough, shoots at a low percentage.

To be clear about Dolezaj, of course he’s nowhere near the level of Wagner. Franz is a maybe lottery pick and Dolezaj won’t be drafted. He’s shown a variety of offensive skills, though, and I think he should be a bigger part of the Syracuse offense.

5:00 game on espn Baylor vs W Va fwiw.

Think it’s hard to enforce as you go along but if you start the season holding them accountable for it in early practices, hopefully you can limit the amount they’ll do it once games start.

Not sure I would have such a hard and fast rule but I get where Oats is coming from. Not every call a ref makes is bad, and moving past a call can sometimes help focus on going on to the next play and what you can control. I’ve had teammates that complained A LOT and I was always trying to bring them back to reality

My daughter’s whole team was derailed by a phantom handball court in their regional soccer final last week. Took themselves right out of the game. Going to recommend this exercise to her coach.

Why in the world is a hyped up #6 vs #3 matchup at 5pm on a Tuesday?

Regardless, Baylor looks good again.

Multiple COVID pauses delaying this game and then working around an already set TV schedule

I guess we should be happy it’s not ESPN+ given precious Big 12 scheduling oddities.

Watched a little bit and Baylor got wide open 3s or dunks on every possession without sweating.

W Va cuts Baylor lead to 5 at the under 4 time out.

The last 6 min of game time has been… something else.

I had no idea this even happened but just saw this on Reddit. According to Reddit comments some former Creighton players have complained about the treatment of black players at Creighton, and this seems fairly similar to what got Chambers fired at PSU. Will be interesting to see what Creighton does here.

Wow, that was painfully bad. What on earth would make you say that? Is that some crazy turn of phrase I have never heard before?

Considering former players have complained, really seems like a big problem and not just an isolated slip up.

I agree. the only phrases I still hear a lot are “off the reservation” & “lowest on the totem pole.”

Yeah, that’s a really weird thing to say in any context. Don’t leave the plantation?

The Chambers thing is way more understandable to me since his analogy made sense in relation to depression. The only context in which plantation makes any sense is about slaves escaping…

I like the 1 point for a midrange or long two thing, but why incentivize long 3s?

I think there’s value in spreading the floor out like that… but who in college can do that?

Spacing! Longer threes = more room to drive.
