College Basketball Open Discussion

My biggest regret is not playing Texas. I like UNC a lot this year as a “sleeper “ at 28-1 but the way Texas demolished Indiana was impressive and they really have a great roster. Really felt like they were going to win but I chickened out not being able to get any points

28-1 to win March Madness?

Only watched the last 10 minutes of the Gonzaga-WVU game, but left wondering how Gonzaga was down at all in this game. They look incredible. At least on the offensive end. So many weapons, even with Suggs being hobbled a bit.

The weird thing about Shaka Smart is that he originally seemed like a great tournament coach. He won the CBI, then went to the Final Four. At the time we played them in 2013 he had one of the best tournament winning percentages in the country. He has not won a postseason game since.

Baylor is downright scary. The combination of pace and skill they bring to the game is rarely seen at the college level. Granted, I’m sure I saw them at their very best last night, but wow.

Yea to win it all.

WVU is very good. Timme was struggingly a lot and Suggs left injured for a bit so this helped steer it toward WVU. It wasn’t until WVU got in bad foul trouble though that Zaga started to pull away and take back the game.

I think WVU is a top ten team at years end so when Timme is struggling and Suggs is out then its going to be a close one for sure imo.

Everyone’s guidelines are dependent on school and conference. So that doesn’t necessarily mean anything about a change to Big Ten guidelines.

I believe the Big 12 isn’t testing daily like the Big Ten is.

Interesting. My daughter was on the same soccer practice field with a girl who tested positive and we waited until the third day to test her, as recommended. Looks like she needs to get tested once more to meet the new guidelines. Maybe with the new shortened procedure people will just wait until the end of that week. . .

Science and guidelines are a definite moving target. My daughter had a gymnastics coach test positive and the Health Department said the kids didn’t need to quarantine because they were all wearing masks and close contact was only for a few minutes. My son had a soccer teammate test positive and they shut down the team activities completely even though everyone was wearing masks and the only exposure was one practice in a large area for an hour.

I hope the vaccine works and comes soon so we can start the long process of finding the new normal.

Why is it so hard to watch a PAC12 game? The lack of availability for the PAC12 network is a complete failure. Also Washington played Baylor and it wasn’t available on any channel, you literally had to pay for a $30/month subscription.

if you can maneuver your way around the popup ads, sportshd.me is a pretty solid streaming site that has most games. Currently watching the ASU/Cal game

Cole Bajema thru 3 games: 32 minutes, 6 points, 0 AST, 1 REB. Washington is 0-3

That makes me sad. I really like Cole’s game and thought he might have a breakout year this year. The fact that he’s still struggling to play on a considerably worse team is not good at all.

Colin Castleton started for Florida last night and had 3 points on 1-3 shooting with 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 blocks and 1 steal

Virginia down 1 to middle of the pack MAC team Kent State with a minute and a half left.

He had 9 and 8 first game.

I really really like Colin. I’m predicting he has a really good junior and senior year.

Had Nehmbard stayed that Florida team would have been my pick to win the Sec and to be very dangerous.

It’s been such an interesting 1.5 years thus far. Crazy turnover. I think due to our roster turnover we’re going to have our bumps early in the year but I honestly believe our roster has one of the higher ceilings in the country,

Hopefully everybody settles in and finds their niche and role. I’m confident we are going to have a top ten offense. Smith is the real deal imo and can burn you in many different ways. Very skilled / high iq. Just finding the open guy left and right.

Not many teams in the country can say they have 7-8 guys who could drop 15-20 on you any given night
