Agree. CC will always look better vs air, but DDJ will have a better career IMO.

W. Kessler looking much much physically weaker than Dickinson at this stage…

Watching this UNC team reminds me how fun it was to absolutely embarrass them in 2018 with the guys talking so much smack to Leaky Black

I think Castleton made the right decision for himself to leave. With Dickinson looking amazing and with the option of playing Johns who also is looking good he would not have gotten any time.

DDJ had a much easier path to minutes at Michigan but it was still a hard path. I am not at all convinced he would beat out a healthy Brooks or Smith. I think he would be ahead of Zeb for now and would be behind Frankie next year for sure. So, he probably made a good decision for himself too.

Give me what we’ve seen from Mike Smith in two games over anything I saw from DDJ in two years.

He did some weird things in the second game but that first game sold me. I never saw DDJ do anything like what he did in that first game. He played very good.

Is this gonna be one of those situations where Texas gets a lot of praise then everyone realizes NC and IU actually suck and Texas struggles to finish .500 in BIG12 play?

Looks back at Battle 4 Atlantis 2019…

Just kidding, that Gonzaga win was a really good win, but the UNC win certainly lost a lot of luster.

Maui bump!

I think Texas is pretty good but the rest are fringe top 25 at best

I guess I just see more untapped potential in Castleton if he can figure it out. DeJulius is a small shooting guard who got a lot of opportunities last year and never really won me over with his approach to the game on either end of the court. Will be fascinated to see how they both fare this year.

I hate UNC and wouldn’t be surprised if they miss the tourney. Stanford I hate less, but they’re definitely still on the hate spectrum for stealing so many football and basketball recruits over the years so they’ll be a bubble team. Indians has Archie so they’ll miss the tourney. And Texas has Shaka and talent so they’ll make it, but get bounced early.

You’re saying the signature pick and roll defense spin move didn’t win you over??

As the possibly only person that was trying to support a possible Shaka Smart hire on this board I feel pretty good about myself :sunglasses:

I was fine with the concept of a Shaka hire because I figured it came with a high floor. Much, much better than Cooley would’ve been. But I really just don’t think he’s a good in-game coach at all.

David DeJulius starting for Cincinnati in their debut today as well.

Scalding hot take incoming: Kai Jones will be a better pro than Greg Brown

5-13 at the line at the half, ugly number for UNC.

Shaka has at least shown he’ll adapt too, something Cooley never has.

Walton Is no longer planning to team up with Bruce Hornsby, Allen Iverson and Elon Musk to set up intergalactic KOA campgrounds?
