Jalen Wilson just took this game over in the second half. He looks more athletic than I remember him too. I was really high on him as a recruit. It’s unfortunate he didn’t stick with Michigan, but I certainly don’t blame him under the circumstances.

That was the game changing adjustment. UK bigs had no chance of guarding him. Brilliant by Self, and kinda head-scratching that Cal just kept watching it happen.

I think I like Castleton to be a better college player if he can get things figured out. I like his best-case better than DeJulius.

For those interested, Florida/Army just tipped off on ESPN2
Not even at the first TV timeout of the season and Florida has called 2 TOs of their own. Down 12-2, Castelton started but was pulled after 90 seconds. He had a block but committed a foul and the ball was turned over on am entry pass to him.
Mike White’s time at Florida may be soon done.
Florida looks VERY confused defensively. Every defensive possession I’ve seen since tuning in has ended with Castleton sprinting from the lane to cover some three-point shooter left inexplicably open.
REALLY excited to see Castleton with the rest of that lineup. He could be really good.
The box score shows Castleton with decent numbers at the half (5 pt, 4 reb, 1 blk) but sounds like Florida as a team is a mess in this their first game (down 39-31).

Florida was every media person’s darling last season and I fell into the trap of thinking they were really good early in the year. They were consistently overvalued in the betting markets all year long. Apparently that’s carrying over.
I’ve been watching bits and pieces. Each member of the starting 5 has been carrying their relative weight (although Scottie Lewis 2 points and 2 fouls and Keynote Johnson with 3 fouls are problems).
Florida’s bench having 0 points though…
castleton is still getting pushed around a ton, have to wonder if his body just isn’t going be able to get girthy enough

We’re all entitled to our opinions but I can’t see that at all. Castleton is a player with some scoring ability, but he’s weak, he can’t play defense and I don’t recall seeing any real passing or ball handling skills.
DDJ would be our starting PG right now.
