UNC gets the close W over Stanford. UNC-Texas in the final, Indiana-Stanford in the 3rd place game.

So…Beilein doesn’t comment, Teddy doesn’t mention him when naming coaches he’ll miss, yet JB was a student teacher for Ted’s 10th grade civics class in the 70’s? What a damn weird dynamic!!

I like Bill Walton.

There were some weird calls and no-calls in that UNC-Stanford game. But, one of the huge problems I have with Walton is that he has no clue what he’s talking about when it comes to the rulebook. All of his “How is that a foul?” outrage over obvious calls is tough to take. I hate the thought that weaker-minded fans might be listening to him and figuring “He’s the expert, he must be right”.

I’m sure he’s plenty stale by now, but just the basic concept of a booth guy you shouldn’t take literally is fantastic. So much of sports coverage is trite and half-baked crap, so snarky irreverence is so refreshing. And sometimes really quite funny.

Bill Walton is a blunt toting idiot.

Classic TV Ted moment at the end of that game. Stops finalizing the game to go to replay review in a 4 point game to put potentially tenths of a second on the clock. Got him like 2 more minutes of airtime!

I missed this among the Bill Walton discussion earlier

Is that supposed to be a bad thing?

When it leaves a Walton, yes.

Jalen Wilson chucking early for Kansas.

This game looks like it might set a record for bricks

Vitale reaaaaaally wants Kentucky to play zone defense huh?

Unquestionably true that he plays one on TV.

For some reason Jalen Wilson looks different to me. I almost didn’t recognize him at first.

He’s also carrying them here , good for Jalen.

Complete Jalen Wilson takeover right now. Awesome to see that, happy for him. Wish it was here lol.

Is it just me or does it seem like the announcers mention about every other possession how Marcus Garrett is “under the weather”? :joy:

Jalen Wilson would have been really really good for Beilein. He would have been great for Howard too but I would have loved to see him in the JB offense last season.

Would have been a great fit for sure.
