I think Jordan Poole might have been a lottery pick if he was more athletic he was only 14 picks away as is
I mean, Jordan Poole is a good player, but you never want to be the guy who thinks he’s Kobe vs Jalen Rose when in reality he’s Kobe vs Shane Battier.
Terry Wymer and DJ Carstensten are making this ASU-Rhode Island game almost unwatchable. Not sure who the 3rd ref is.
Edit: this is the crew who reffed the infamous OSU game at Crisler last year. I’m praying these people aren’t part of the group that the Big Ten got to exclusively ref games.
Nimari Burnett only had 2 points and 1 assist for Texas Tech in a 43 point blowout. Maybe he’s been dealing with an injury, but I definitely had him pegged as an instant impact guy on that team.
Pathetically officiated game. Very fun besides that though. Feel bad for URI if they lose this game.
79 free throws so far. Jesus.
When Wymer called that Tech on the guy celebrating I said to my family “that guy is a terrible ref…I know his name, which means he must be terrible”.
Reminded me of when DJ Wilson posterized an MSU player and get a tech for shouting “AHHHHHHH.” You just. Don’t. Tech. Those.
Josh Christopher just took a charge to seal that game for ASU. Impressive
Overall an up and down debut for him but you can see the skill and potential. Didn’t create for others, struggled with his jumper and didn’t score efficiently, but when he made plays they were impressive.
Yep. I think the question is whether that skill/potential clicks in his college year or if it’s in the NBA. He’s fun to watch either way.
Pitt opens year 3 of the Jeff Capel era with an awful loss vs St Francis (PA), a team outside the Kenpom top 200. It’s hard to overstate just how much of a disaster that program has been since Dixon left.
I almost ended up there for college, that would be a sucky sports fandom to have recently…
predicted at the bottom of the NEC this year – a terrible conference to begin with
Somehow Trey McGowans transferred to Nebraska from a worse P5 team
NahShon “Bones” Hyland going off early against Utah State. 4/4 from deep, 12 points at the 1H under-12 timeout.
There’s a name I had forgotten. Who is he playing for?
VCU. I’ll be rooting for that guy wherever he goes. What a resilient kid.
Fantastic dunk by Greg Brown but in not surprising freshman fashion he did finish the game with 5 turnovers and 0 assist, to go along with 2-9 shooting and 0-3 from 3. He did also get 10 rebounds against what is probably a bad team. But… I’m sure the dunk will be linked everywhere. That was one spectacular play; I’ll give him that.
