College Basketball Open Discussion

Regardless of peoples’ personal views on the virus, lockdowns, shutdowns, etc… I find it incredibly weird that there isn’t universal celebration that we have any sports at all. MLB, the NBA Bubble, CFB and the NFL…its amazing what they’ve done, despite hiccups along the way.

If games get cancelled they get cancelled, but players get to play, more employees get to keep their jobs and the rest of us get some semblance of normalcy.

IIRC Oakland was one of the teams that had to shut down. They’re probably going to be abysmal for quite a while.

Correct – had a long shutdown and I think most of the team tested positive including Kampe.

Memphis/St. Mary’s is on ESPN 2. Probably the only remotely decent game on right now. Neither team looks particularly good though, and Memphis’s offense makes me want to tear my hair out.

Dan Dakich: still insufferable.

UNCs got some depth at Center so not too surprising I don’t think. Hunter enjoyed his PT tho :smirk:

We should be able to come up with a better nickname right?

Might not be surprising, but it baffles me that elite high school recruits commit to places where the existing roster won’t allow them to even set foot on the court.

Christopher reminds me a lot of Jordan Poole. More athletic vertically. Makes the same facial expressions.

I’m pretty sure Christopher thinks that too. IIRC he said as much in an interview with Sam Webb. I personally don’t think “more athletic Jordan Poole” is really stellar praise for someone who aspires to be a lottery pick.
