I would agree that there would be a greater chance for walk-ons to earn a scholarship for a year. Itâll be interesting to see how the basketball coaches would attack recruiting based on the increased scholarship count.
As the parent of a kid with college aspirations in baseball and soccer this is HUGE. Those sports were actually migrating to having D3 schools being more attractive in some cases than D1 because they can offer âacademicâ aid while D1 were giving out 11.5 baseball scholarships to 34 players.
