fun fact: in 2017, Pat Kelsey left Winthrop to take the UMass job. He flew to Amherst and met the team. He changed his mind and returned to Winthrop two days later, 30 minutes before his UMass introductory press conference

I think Kelsey seems reasonable to hire if you’re looking at small conference guys, he’s taken two small schools to the tournaments, three top 100 Torvik teams in bad conferences…seems fine as anyone, most of his career in the Carolinas. It’s not awful, just really not thought what they’d get
But if he doesn’t go, the coach of Charleston turning down Louisville is WILD
