Wow…that’s a candid description of his relationship with alcohol that doesn’t seem…particularly healthy? I’m all for a beer now and then…but interesting. Hope it all works out for the best - whatever that means.

Obviously the two can exist concomitantly but being a problem drinker doesn’t make you choke your spouse (or family member?) inevitably.

I guess I’m saying there are larger issues at play.

Another quality win for Arizona State… terrible performance by Michigan but looks like it probably won’t hurt the resume too much.

Creighton has lost 5 in a row and heads to Marquette later this week. Yikes.

Watched most of the game. Frankie was…not good–1-12, including 0-9 from inside the arc, the place he is supposed to excel because of his strength and athleticism, 2-5 on free throws, and 1-3 from 3. What’s worse, on the defensive end, when he played high ball screens, he didn’t go over or under them, he just let himself be screened and then kind of half assed trying to recover. He did have 6 assists against 2 turnovers and 5 rebounds, but overall, ASU won that game despite Frankie, not because of him. He entered the game with a 95.2 efficiency rating on 27.4 usage, and the efficiency rating is going to go down. ASU is better than I thought they would be–it doesn’t excuse our getting demolished, but as you said, the loss won’t kill us. On Frankie though–if the first 10 games are any indication, I, for one, am not pining away for what might have been.

Score one for KenPom and other computer rankings on Creighton. Then again they did almost beat Texas and Arizona too. Tough last 3 games for them tho

Also, common sense. To be fair, they are almost 25 spots better on KenPom. They are a better team. They just still can’t really shoot.

Feel pretty confident that they win the last two if they had their best player (Kalkbrenner) healthy. Nebraska loss was awful and they had him though

Portal never sleeps.

:exploding_head: what? Transfers to Texas Tech and then transfers again before he is even healthy enough to play basketball there?

Must have got a better offer from the trainers room.

He never made any sense in TTU’s system

I’ve heard that Beard at Tech just wanted to recruit the best offensive players he could because he assumed he could coach anyone to effectively play his defense. Adams presumably operates the same way

Is he even that good of an offensive player?

Adams building quite the reputation. Worth noting that Shannon’s season last year was basically ruined by trying to play through a back injury.

All I see are those rebounding numbers. :stuck_out_tongue:

:face_with_monocle: He shot less than 50% on twos at Utah Valley. Not sure that screams All-American, Jake.
