College Basketball 2022-23 Discussion

The sped-up nature of that gif that is freaking me out.

Do we think it is mostly a done deal that Reeves is going to leave? Obviously youā€™d think UK would want him, but the fact that rumors are that the meeting didnā€™t go well, they signed a bunch of hot shot freshmen at his spot and heā€™s taking classes at ISU it feels like heā€™s gone.

With that being said, do we have any ideas when he might actually enter the portal or make any sort of announcements? I respect that heā€™s trying to focus on academics, but I wonder how things will actually play out with his summer.

Itā€™s def a done deal that heā€™s leaving. guys like goodman are tweeting about it, not just the dudes with burners

I did notice that Goodmanā€™s tweet about it yesterday said Reeves is hoping to graduate at ISU, then is likely to transfer.

Wording seems to imply nothing is happening until august. But could also mean nothing and is just how he typed the tweet without much thought.

Deadline to apply for graduation was June 9th. I would guess that Reevesā€™ transcript is somewhat unique, so he needs an official answer back from ISU about graduating before he can confidently enter the portal. So that should be answered before August, but might take a week or multiple weeks?

Sounds like Simeon Wilcher is St. Johnā€™s bound. This means Indiana will ramp up their pursuit of Reeves, if he hits the portal. Not great newsā€¦

So much for a promise, I guess. But heā€™s not coming back to CBB

Thatā€™s a weird one. I know little about the guy, but odd to pull out of this draft but be a projected lottery pick in the next one.

Lottery next year in terms of quality is like late 1st this year - next yearā€™s draft is viewed as one of the poorest in over a decade

So that may be part of the issue

NIL having an impact I guess?

Is he able to play in college this year?

To steal @buckets12 style

When you can draft a center who scored 5 ppg on 52% true shooting in the lottery, you gotta do it

Not unless heā€™s got some sort of waiver up his sleeve.
