Villanova needs to sit Colin Gillespie for a few games after tonight to let his ankle heal. I hope they don’t burn themselves out going for another Big East title and limp into the tournament.

Villanova missed the front end of a 1-1. UConn hit a 3, then trapped Gillespie and tied him up for a jump ball. UConn had the possession arrow and scored to take the lead. Gillespie took the inbounds and went the length of the court and ran someone over getting called for a questionable charge
My only guess is that the ref thought Hurley was showing him up by waving to the crowd after the first T. Still would be a really weak justification.

No it was a 15 yard walk to the locker room for delay of game.

Providences last 3 games are an OT win at home over DePaul, close loss to Villanova at home, OT win @Butler, and now close here with Xavier at home. Wild team and the easiest early upset pick in a long long time
