Not to be snarky, but ignorance of the law just isn’t a good defense. Letting someone who has been drinking drive your car is a really bad, in this case criminally bad idea. His judgment about whether his teammate was good to drive wasn’t reasonable and it only happened because he was impaired too.
I really think cases like this are why the laws are on the books. Two drunks deciding which one of them should drive when the only good answer is neither.
I’m not saying the book should be thrown at Banchero, but I don’t think is a borderline case either.
Turned on Tennessee drubbing NC. Only been watching about 3 minutes of game time. Have yet to see NC put up even a modicum of effort on defense. Stunning to watch Tennessee effort on one end contrasted with Carolina on the other end
Tennessee clearly had the better perimeter players and in today’s game elite backcourts normally rule. Chandler, Vescovi and Ziegler all killed the UNC backcourt.
That is true. NC still gave feeble effort on D. Tennessee’s with their talented freshmen backcourt managed 53 points against Villanova. I would submit one of the reason’s Tennessee’s perimeter players were clearly better is NC didn’t play a lick of D
Well two of those backcourt guys for Tennessee are 18 year old freshman while all of Nova’s rotation is 21+ year old grown men and one of them was a rotation guy for that National champion team back in 2018. Right now especially, age and experience sticks out. This Tennessee team will be dangerous later in the year as all the young players (Brandon Huntley Hatfield is a freshman too) gel with the vets.
