Asking for a really tall friend, but did Maryland also not recruit him? :joy:

I remember watching him in Indianapolis in the EYBL when he was a freshman STARTING for Seattle Rotary with former 5 star Washington player Jaden McDaniel and others. That Rotary team was one of the top teams in EYBL. He was an above average player then and he played 80% of the game. Back then he was a lockdown defender and energy guy. He’s added so much offensively. Special talent Forsure.

He’s an easy mover at his size. Almost no weakness to his game but the only drawback is he’s not an explosive athlete. He does everything well which is rare.

If Keels is a late 1st round to early 2nd round pick then the draft is LOADED. Keels should be projected higher because he’s a built like a LB as a combo G who can shoot.

Duke’s been super impressive. Keels, Moore and Banchero is an insane top 3 players

Oscar is a beast on the offensive glass but he’s so limited offensively, does a horrible job of going up with the ball.

His rebounding % has to be close to 35%. It’s insane on how much he sucks up the ball when he’s on the court.

Sort of like Brandon johns, doesn’t matter finishing if your strong and athletic if you do things slowly and take forever to gather yourself

No disrespect to Paolo but I’m going to pronounce his name Ban-CHAIR-o. Sounds like Pancheros, a lovely post-ricks burrito spot.

Looks like our friends in Seattle are going to stink in basketball, too.

I remember being extremely impressed by Keels when I watched film of Dug

Kihei Clark is the kind of player Andy Katz would rank 7th if he did an ACC list.

Allow me to pile on re Keels and Banchero. Many oohs and aahs.

Score one for Torvik/Kenpom projections who were not fans of UVA going into this year

Weird that Syracuse is better offensively than defensively this year.

I couldn’t believe that he is projected as a late 1st to 2nd round pick at the moment but it’ll change into an early lottery pick. Guy with his size at SG with plus athleticism and shooting don’t grow on tree. He may be in competition with Jaden Hardy as the 1st G in the draft.

Pretty good start for Bates + Co.
