Anyone be upset if we honored Spike with the seniors Saturday? I think some mention would be classy.
i think it would take away from our actual seniors. i think he was honored last year right?
Yes he was honored last year.
I donât know, I donât feel like theyâre all that talented. I donât see any surefire NBA guys on that roster. Several good players, no elite ones.
But this is the same group that made a run last year no? Also key parts on other final four jaunts. Any nba elites? No but Koenig, Hayes, happ should be a top ten trip. Then Iverson, showalter, brown. Really under performing imo
Lost by 5 in the Sweet 16 to ND - basically the same result against ND that we had. I mean, when you compare them to the FF and title teams they had with Kaminsky and Dekker, they are not nearly as talented IMO.
And on the âkey partsâ argument, you could say the same about Walton and Irvin in 2014 to a slightly lesser degree. Hayes is the guy IMO who has failed to really get any better.
He hasnât improved at all. But Hayes and Bronson played much more prominent roles than zak did. Derek was a main cog on that team. If they get it together hypothetically they could go deep but they just look like crap whenever I see them. Iâm surprised they only have 6 losses.
I still canât get over were a bubble team. So many games we just didnât seize control and two away court robberies. Thatâs why I think we could still be very dangerous but I just donât know if this team ever puts it togetfer. V tech, Iowa, Ohio st, minny, Wisconsin. Imagine if we just played well or didnât crap out. 22-5 pretty easily.
Just depends on which team shows up. I do think we will benefit from playing teams that donât know our offense or tendencies.
Question for everybody. Does Indiana just give up or do they play for their lives and give a 100 percent? Really considering putting a big bet on them today over northwestern. I just canât tell what their locker room is like right now. If they play with desperation I really think their better than northwestern. Theyâre due for a win, at home, and spread is only three. Technically if they win out then get hot in the big ten tourney and get 2 or 3 wins I think they play themselves back onto the bubble. They know this, and just on pure talent even without og, they still are much better than nw Imo.
I wish I knew if they have given up/ fighting with each other and crean. Has crean lost Blackmon and Johnson? Bryant seems to play hard every game still. Not always smart but hard. Idk I think Iâm putting 200 on them -3.
Someone reassure me or someone talk me out of it.
Take that $200 and put it on Wilton Speight for Heisman. 75-1!!!
I think IU wins big tonight. Last home game of the season. Iâm sure theyâre still telling themselves that win out and win 2 or 3 in the B1G tourney and theyâre in. And NU has been down except for their win at wiscy. But Iâm not a betting man.
Looking at the Big Ten Tournament bracket⌠Could this be the first year that we have basically a bid-stealer in the Big Ten?
Last 15 Big Ten Tournaments have been won by a top-3 seed.
Yes. I think thatâs exactly what happens. Could see any team besides Rutgers and Illinois winning it. Wouldnât be shocked to see penn state even make a run
I think anyone can beat anyone. The hard part is winning 3 or 4 days in a row. Minnesota might have the team best built for a run this year, especially if they get a double bye.
Iowa laying it on Maryland at Maryland.
Maryland is fading down the stretch. This would be their 3rd straight loss and the las two being at home. They could fall out of the top 4 group.
One week left. Weâre one game out of the 3 seed.
Will be very interesting to see how things play out with these 5 teams for the 3-7 spots.
Maryland: @Rutgers, vs. MSU
Minnesota: vs. Nebraska, @Wisconsin
Northwestern: @Indiana tomorrow, vs. Michigan, vs. Purdue
MSU: vs. Wisconsin, @illinois, @maryland
Michigan: @northwestern, @nebraska
Would put us one game out of 3rd place.
If we win out, we are in good shape. We would be 4-4 against the 6 teams that are ahead of us right now.
Maryland drops into a third place tie with Minnesota at 10-6, one game ahead of us.
