Things are going to be very interesting next year. Most of the roster will improve, but they lose Morgan and Langford. They have a 5* C coming in, but I imagine he won’t be as good as Morgan.

I’ll take their PA announcer over Michigan’s any day. I almost root for Michigan to exclusively hit 2 pointers to avoid the unnecessary over-the-top 3 point call that’s made.

Wisconsin 3pt makes are BY FAR the worst of any arena. That announcer is beyond awful.

I just think it’s too long and distracting. I literally don’t notice any other calls from PA announcers.

So early in the year we had a discussion on what the over/under should be on coaching vacancies at the end of the season. The stregth of the conference seems like it will be a boon for some of the coaches on the hot seat, especially if 10 teams get in. With Iowa and Maryland looking like decent seeds in the tournament, their coaches should be safe. Although I don’t know if Maryland could be expecting a tournament win or two. If Nebraska keeps slipping Miles is out. Pitino should be safe if they make the tournament, if not he might be gone. Chambers is on the outs for sure.

I notice PA announcers because I used to be one. The truth is you probably wouldn’t much like my three point call either.

This this this. This x100. The old guy who was also the Tigers’ PA guy was infinitely more listenable to me. The overdramaticed stuff kinda reminds me of the football PA guys you see in the ACC (and MSU) that act like pure fans rather than a PA guy. IMO if you notice a PA announcer they’ve done poorly.

You must’ve never heard the in-game pizza giveaways when that dude was the PA announcer.
