Big Ten Basketball 2022-23 Discussion

JMO but I never imagined that guy would be discussed on this board and it’s disheartening

How did stu respond to all that?

I don’t even know who this is and I’m refusing to look it up.

We are allowed to have interesting discussions about Big Ten basketball here instead of discussions about bad takes about Big Ten basketball here. Just a heads up!

If only this theory was backed up by a previous Michigan team that also was on a weird streak pattern at the end of the year, which ended up being broken in the NCAA Tourney… oh wait…

 very common amongst MSU and B1G fans in generals.

Yes, everyone misses one of the most gifted and unassailable college coaches of all time, we miss him kicking your @sses. You’re actually really special for thinking highly of Beilein and contrasting him to our current staff.

Beilein lost regularly to MSU and only started evening it out at the end, fwiw. So far, I think that Juwan is more or less even-steven? Very few people are ever terribly interested in the facts. The streak that they might be less interested in discussing is all our Sweet 16s in a row; stat that they can’t come close to.

Yeah, Michigan/MSU is 4-4 since Juwan was hired. Each team has won on their home floor.

Just the fact that I can, off the top of my head, guess that Juwan has more tourney success than all of the other B1G coaches combined during his tenure means they should all just shut the f*ck up about giving us advice on who our coach should be.

By my count, Beilein ended up 9-14 against MSU after starting 0-4. Amazing how close it’s been ever since that 2011 win in East Lansing.

Well Beilein was building up from nothing when Izzo’s program was arguably stronger. Juwan hasn’t faced the best MSU teams frankly. But he did beat Cassius Winston and doesn’t have a losing record. Though still should not have lost to them in '21. That was a lost opportunity to sweep.

And it was 9-11 before his final season. Three losses were we led in the 2nd half. Ugh.

I know someone who “splits up the twos”.

I love how Painter just keeps going and going

And Juwan won’t even give a straight answer for this silly question

I give Underpants a solid B+ too

it was such great comedy to keep cutting back to painter going deeper and deeper. you get the sense he kept going even after they packed up the cameras and left
