Keegan Murray and Connor McCaffery are co-winners of the Chris Street Award for the 2022 University of Iowa men’s basketball season. The duo are two of eight players who garnered recognition at the team’s award ceremony held Thursday evening at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

The Chris Street Award is presented annually to a Hawkeye player, or players, who best exemplify the spirit, enthusiasm, and intensity of Chris Street. Street was an Iowa basketball player who died in an auto accident in 1993, midway through his junior year.

What a hilarious pair to give an award to. What would the Michigan equivalent be here? An award shared by Hunter Dickinson and Brandon Johns?

I like that Izzo is doing the Doc Rivers scout (“well he played well against us”).

Yes I’m sure he watched tape too, I’m just being snarky.

I’m having a tough time remembering, but did Maryland recruit Hunter out of high school?

Depends who you ask. Hunter says no

I don’t think the words “fully healthy” and “Seth Towns” can ever be used in a sentence together. I can’t wait for all of the preseason predictions that talk about how OSU could be good “…assuming Seth Towns is healthy”

hasn’t he had several reconstructive back surgeries? I’m not sure you can ever call him fully healthy in a basketball context
