Big Ten Basketball 2021-22 Discussion

I don’t see him being any better than Brooks and elevating their roster at all tbh. Could fit a role but also he’s strictly a 3

If they have to rely on him, I’d say that’s striking out

Like basically it just means they can decide between playing an okay backup 3 who can score inside vs one who can shoot

I just think it’s always worth adding guys with size who can defend and make threes.

That’s why you gamble on someone like Isaiah Barnes as a recruit so why not as a young-ish transfer?

Would mentioning that he was Oakland’s 4th best player change your mind on that?

man this clip is full of post-ups, weird

I’m not saying he’s going to transform their season but seems like he has the style of game that can translate to play a very specific role.

that role: getting screamed at

Kudos to Izzo for recruiting an entire team of players that can play their role.

He seems like the kind of guy you’d have to watch the film on to know what the deal is. The shooting stats and stocks look good but the USG at that level is skepticism-inducing and Oakland plays enough junk defense that they could be system steals.

Hey Christie hasn’t even announced yet

I think this is the key thing here. You can’t go into the year with that many open scholarships. And this would be some low hanging fruit in that he is playing at a Michigan school as a Michigan kid so not a ton of effort needed here.

Don’t know if he transforms the roster but at minimum he is a body that may be able to play a role.

Yeah he’s a great fit for them. He was really turning the corner and the end of the year for them. I think he had 18+ if 5 of his last 6 games. Somebody I would want Michigan in on if Shannon falls through

MSU has tons of scholarships so sure this makes sense. But the fact this was the first guy they went at after Bridges is good with me.

His ceiling at msu is the type of wing Izzo churns out plenty of already

Oakland plays a set-heavy offense with lots of off-ball screens / post-ups that frequently devolves into ISOs for the point guard. Parrish had very little if any offense ran for him. Basically all residual stuff, spot up 3s, ORBs, cuts.

Why exactly is he transferring?

Poor relationship with the staff.

Is… is the Chris street award the mvp? And it was split between Keegan and Connor Mccaffery?
