Agreed but man they’re tough to stop.
It’s strange because 1st round talent is what you need to take that next step up to the final four level.
But a lot of the top tier guys are on unbalanced teams. Liddell, Davis, Murray, etc.

I think it’s going to be an ugly year for the Big Ten in March… But I thought they would do well last year so who knows!

There are more bucket-getters in the Big Ten this year, so maybe they pull out a few more close games as a conference in the tournament.
Ugh is Branham gonna be the next OSU star that outperforms expectations and therefore helps OSU outperform expectations?
Getting tired of looking forward for the inevitable demise of OSU and Wisconsin, only for them to cobble together enough new surprise stars and sound team fundamentals to continue to be good.

I mean, he was a top-40 recruit it isn’t like he’s unheralded. I’ll be curious how much NBA buzz he gets and what sort of feedback comes in that process.

Look at it this way: if OSU ever tanks, they might replace Holtmann with a legit difference-maker of a coach, like Matta before he started having health issues.
I’m OK with OSU being on a good-but-not-great plateau.

Yeah Branham was one of the best recruits in the whole conference. He’s starting to get more NBA buzz now. If he wants to go he’ll get a contract for sure
He will probably go in a year or 2. He could be the man next year, they have a real good recruiting class coming in. Zed Key/Meechie Johnson return, maybe Sueing returns if he doesn’t play the rest of the year. I don’t see OSU disappearing from the top half of the conference any time soon.
Don’t think anyone expects Wisconsin to not be a top half Big Ten team. I think they are pretty clearly one of the seven healthiest programs… I’d put Purdue, Illinois, Wisconsin, OSU, UM, MSU probably in that top group. Can probably debate the last spots.
