The bad losses are just so bad though… 3 Q3/Q4 losses is brutal.
How dare you inject reality into this quaint, mystic fantasy …
Oh yeah, they’re still not close. But if they get to 12-8 that’s going to be 6 or 7 Q1 wins. I genuinely don’t know what you do with a team that’s got 7 Q1 wins but 3 Q3/Q4 losses. Long way to go to get there, though.
KenPom projection is 10-10… so yeah if they get to 12-8 then maybe. But they are going to be underdogs in next six games and play four of the next six on the road.
I guess it depends how much of the early-season stink is still on them. Their conference-only efficiency numbers put them pretty close to Iowa, Wisconsin, and Indiana. Obviously still underdogs on the road against them.
Half-joking answer: getting to 11-8 and then losing at home to Penn State somehow feels like the most likely outcome.
Real answer: 10-10 is probably the right number considering how poorly they play on the road.
Literally anything is on the table with this team. Michigan State and Ohio State combined to shoot 21-42 on three pointers and Rutgers beat them both anyway. If a couple teams throw up a 4-19 brickfest, who knows?
We haven’t heard much about “positionless basketball” lately, have we?
How far from 91 will Minnesota fall in the NET if they lose to Nebraska tonight? If they eventually hit 160, our loss becomes Q4.
Can’t believe we lost to them at home. Literally season defining
Why do Battle and Willis ever pass the ball to anyone else on that team?
Beating Minnesota and Seton Hall we wouldn’t be talking about having to win certain games to improve the resume.
Luke Loewe is a baller. I just wanted to spell his last name actually.
Totally agree. 14-7 (7-4) might not be top-4 nationally like preseason but it’s top…30? And safely in, forget about bubble talk
I’d also like to add the Rutgers game to the mix as outside of that first 5 minutes that was an even game. But Rutgers is beating everybody in Jersey Mike’s arena.
That’s technically true but looking at the banners in Crisler you can’t really tell.
I am back in love with my toxic Ex, Iowa.
Jordan Bohannon hit 10 threes. Tonight.
It would appear as though Geo and Bohannon took offense at these premature conference player of the year lists. #NotSoFast.
