Welp MSU did kind of figure out their defense, 6th in conference play. That offense however…
Also MSU might not have figured out the defense either. 6th in defense in conference play but haven’t played a top 6 offense yet.
that bubble would require more nails, I think.
Do they? Who on that team scares you? They have zero shooters, no one who can get their own shot and no one to dump it down to the post to. They’re flawed everywhere.
Smot played well against Ohio for most of the game.
Out of desperation, I watched MSU. This COVID pandemic is truly horrible.
Rutgers let me down the first time, so I skipped last night’s Spartanfreude. Big mistake on my part.
But the important thing to remember here is that the two best games they’ll play all season will most likely be against us.

Kenny said having two teams play games on back-to-back days is “one of those on-the-table contingencies” that the conference could employ if both schools agree. Adjusting to the extent that a team may twice play an opponent that it had previously been scheduled to play only once hasn’t been formally discussed, Kenny said, but it’s not impossible if the schools are comfortable with a change.
Can we please get two back to back games against MSU
Was about to say just that. I’m down with that.
Right?
And where’s the offseason thread where we discussed how much MSU would miss Winston and Tillman, and whether Watts could be an effective point guard?
I joked earlier this week that I’d be perfectly content to cancel all big ten games and just play a 10 game series at the Breslin Center without ever leaving the state. Sign me up!
A promising article. Stressful year for Mr. Kenny but he is doing his best
I think you’re singlehandedly keeping that meme format alive
Much like last season’s Louisville smoke posts, I will gladly stop when this becomes played out and/or MSU stops being terrible at basketball/stops finding itself directly behind obscure low majors.
Between the Baka Beyond and Outer Bolivia, poised for a late-season resurgence.
This post is confirmation that I considered replying to your post with a version of that meme but chose not to.
Tonight’s game feels like a significant confrontation. Two very serious, stern head coaches. Each of them enjoy clenching their jaws tightly. It wouldn’t surprise me to learn that each of them grind their teeth while sleeping. We also have two very large alpha centers in Cockburn and Garza. Heavens. The pacifist in me wants to avoid the game altogether, while the warrior in me is willing to sit down on my sofa and watch.
