Illinoisā defense is unrecognizable compared to versus UofM. The level of on-ball pressure isnāt comparable.

Someone gave Liddell a pep talk at halftime. He was invisible in the first but has been huge in the second

Agreed. I wonder if itās just the threat of Liddell shooting? Or the lost juice from no longer playing for a championship?
I donāt remember Illinois playing that level of pressure all year. I thnk they explicitly ratcheted it up vs Michigan.

Being able to go 5 out opens a lot up and makes you more susceptible if youāre pressuring too much off and on the ball.

Liddell definitely helps but I feel like they donāt have the same energy in general. They havenāt crashed the boards that well either (and OSU isnāt great on the glass)
