I forgot about that. Was that a Substack? Curious if you happen to know if there’s a way to connect a substack to a paid site like this one in terms of revenue streams.
Pod coming?
Substack does have a paid subscription feature, but it is contained to a paid email list.
Sorry to jinx you penn state. I wasn’t actually watching the game.
PSU doing their best to blow this. Seton Hall on an 8-0 run to finish the game and now theyll have the final shot
So, hypothetically if you wanted to have a paid Substack, that’s a separate revenue stream you would not be able to bundle with this site? (Not that I’m suggesting that for you necessarily, but I do have a client pondering some options like this for their content…)
What a brutal loss by Penn State.
So what’s everyone’s pick for Michigan to lose their first game? M is now a slight underdog on Torvik @ Maryland. Besides that the scariest game before game 12 against Wisconsin is… @ PSU? Vs. Minnesota?
After the way this thread jinxed PSU tonight, I am not taking any chances with predictions.
Who reported what again?
I may have my Fab 5 stories mixed up. It’s been at least 20 years since I read it for the 15th time. Might need to run it back!
I hope Michigan can pivot that fast. But I guess they may prefer to just play NCSt later?
What are the parameters in which this NC State game can actually happen? The virus is restricted to one or two people and everyone else has “tested out” of quarantine?
To be honest, I’m not completely sure. I think I have a pretty good grasp on the Big Ten’s regulations but I’m not sure how the ACC does things or how that impacts a non-conference game.
Wisconsin also seems to be planning to reschedule Louisville this weekend too if they can. Michigan couldn’t replace NC State and still play them since we’re at 5 non-con games with one more, but replacing NCSU with a high major or rescheduling seem necessary.
Correct – Michigan can only play one more non-conference game.
Unless they were to create a 3-team mte
Which seems like it would be incredibly difficult on the fly after so many teams have already participated in MTEs.
In looking at Michigan and NCSt’s scehdules, a reschedule will be tough unless they are willing to move/cancel a game.
Michigan would likely want a game from 12/16-12/22. NCSt has conference games on the 16th and 22nd, with a game against Campbell on the 19th. So if NC State is willing they could cancel their game against Campbell, but they may not want to put a tough road game right before they play hated rival UNC.
So seems like if NCSt can’t play it will be a cancellation, not a reschedule. Unless the TV contracts make them not really have a choice.
