Yeah I don’t want to incur any divine wraths but… I’m not so sure Indiana is the trap game people are worried about. Signs definitely pointing from bad toward worse in that program
Yeah this feels like a team that the rails are already off the track, and Saturday will be a beatdown accordingly. Not really getting “team ready to rally against all odds and fight their way into the tourney” vibes from IU right now.
Nope, just from MSU
Alright is it just me or does anyone fear that MSU is gonna play both games against us as if it’s their last, play as hard as they possible can, and all the sudden look really good (similar to against Illinois but perhaps better)???
If they had the horses, maybe. As I’ve been saying since the off season, who do they have that scares you? There’s literally no one on their roster we can’t handle pretty easily.
But would Alford want to move from Lake Tahoe to Bloomington?
I have a resume for the IU AD’s perusal:
Perfect choice. He’d bring Big Ten Tournament championship experience!
To quote my wife at that moment: “What the hell is he TALKING about?”
I remember being pretty invested into Carton’s recruitment when it looked like he was going to Michigan. After half a season at OSU, he left the program for mental health reasons and is now at Marquette. I commend the kid for being transparent about his issues and now discussing them. Thought others might find this series of articles worth the read:
In fairness his team gave off a very “whatever” vibe the last 15 minutes of the game.
My new favorite thing in this forum is when Silver adds just a little tiny pinch of salt to his posts. Keep up the good work and we might even invite you to be keynote speaker at the next Global Fault Finders Alliance regional conference.
Wow. Feels like there’s maybe enough parallels to call him the basketball team’s Brady Hoke?
Some rumors that Ayo Dosunmu might miss tonight’s game for Illinois with a broken nose
If it was on that Sissoko flagrant 2 Illinois fans will be pissed
Edit: also gotta feel bad for Ayo if true considering this is his final home game
Yeah that would really stink for Ayo if it’s the case. Not sure if it’s the cause, but man Sissoko really drilled him, it looked bad in the moment.
Athletes have such a strong reach in our country… seeing them open up and work to lesson the cultural stigma around discussing mental health is awesome. Kevin Love was one of the early ones IIRC.
Thanks, Hack! I almost commented last night as to how much fun it was to participate in a game thread when Michigan’s not playing!
My factoid of the day: Detroit Mercy has turned its season around, winning 8 of 9 to claim 3rd place in the Horizon League. If the Titans were to somehow get past Wright State and win the Ho League tournament, Mike Davis would make his 6th NCAA appearance since being fired by IU. IU, on the other hand, has appeared in the NCAA 6 times since firing Mike Davis.
there’s a win-win for at least me
Speaking of–why doesn’t Tommy Amaker’s name ever show up on any list? Good question for Jay Bilas. Tommy at IU–another win-win for me.
