Northwestern can win this thing. Collins just needs to get on all fours and beg his way to victory.
Williams is winning this thing for U of I.
SighâŚwhy did I get sucked into this game again?
Itâs Chase Audigeâs world, and weâre just living in it
Audige gives and he takes
Great idea to sag off Ayo in the biggest possession of the game
My goodness, Ayo.
To double DAMONTE WILLIAMS!!! 8 usage percentage DAMONTE WILLIAMS!
It really kills you, because they legitimately played him great almost all night.
In many ways it was a terrible shot. But when youâre Ayo in a close game late? Guess it doesnât matter.
They had it to twoâŚdang
Hummel said it here, but I feel like every time Iâve seen Illinois do this dumb football inbounds, no one does anything too complex or sets screens. To me it seems pretty easy to prevent a clean inbound.
NW finishes the game with four (4) assists. Ecccch.
But like isnât so much of Northwestern basketball about just making weird decisions?
âIf it feels right, do itâ seems like itâs embroidered on each of their playbooks.
Edey was a very good hockey player and baseball player. Dude has been playing basketball for a few years, competitive basketball for only a year or so. Thereâs a lot to pick up for him in a short time and Purdue does a terrific job with their bigs Hammons/Haas/Swanigan/Haarms and you can now put Williams in that category. This is pretty much a RS season for Edey and he will most likely be better off for it.
Best MSU passing big that Izzo has ever hadâŚ
Ha. I actually felt bad for him. I had a weird post-college rec league game where I blew out both calves and started turning the ball over nearly every time I touched it. Itâs a very unpleasant zone to be in.
Illinois is a fantastic and talented team, but they really do take some possessions off once they see some success in a game. Almost like boredom. I donât know how weâll play Ayo (Franz or Eli), but thatâs going to be fascinating to watch. Adam Miller gets SO many good looks, I think heâs their x-factor in March.
Four good-to-great teams and then a Grand Canyon-sized chasm before you get to Wisconsin and Purdue. Difference in EM between OSU and Wisconsin is greater than from Wisconsin to Maryland, the 11th place team in terms of EM.
