It felt like Penn State didn’t put up a shot over 3 minutes to end the game (turned it over a bunch before free throws), but somehow Maryland managed to play even worse.
Edit: Yeah, according to ESPN pbp, Penn State put up zero field goal attempts and turned the ball over 5 times inside of 3 minutes and still won. Maryland just couldn’t finish any easy looks.
At the 5:11 mark, PSU made two free throws to make the score 50-46. Over those remaining five minutes and 11 seconds, PSU and Maryland combined to score nine points. Nine! 
How are we feeling about Wisconsin-Illinois today?
From a standings perspective, we want Wisconsin to win, giving all other teams 4+ losses, yes? But from a feelingsball standpoint, will that give Wisconsin more confidence than we want them to have heading into a rematch with Michigan on Valentine’s Day?

Yep. I can’t think of a situation where Michigan would want Illinois to win.
Illinois is the 2nd best team in the conference and it isn’t particularly close. Ohio State is right on their tail though. I pick Illinois over Wiscy by double digits.
I want Wisconsin to win because it hangs another loss on Illinois, which only has 3 losses to Wisconsin’s 4. Neither outcome is particularly bad. Glass is half full.
As for what actually happens in the game…I suspect Illinois will win but I’m hoping that Wisconsin can frustrate Ayo into a poor shooting game.
My money says Illinois. But watching Kofi defend will be the key. Wiscy bigs are gonna have looks.
It would be just huge to have a three-game lead on second place. Massive advantage.
