Big Ten Basketball 2020-21 Discussion (Part 1)

How many other Big Ten teams would Ahron Ulis start for? Man, the Hawkeyes are loaded.

Rothstein single handedly makes me want to be anti-Iowa

Fran has done a good job 4 players ranked 200+ in their rotation who are performing quite well.

Izzoā€™s press conferences always seem like a motion picture audition for the role of a man whoā€™s been unfairly charged with a crime. A hard-working blue-collar family man who is framed by a powerful company executive so that his crooked son isnā€™t held responsible for the homicide he committed. I start watching these press conferences to hear about the basketball game, but before I know it Iā€™m getting my checkbook out so that I can contribute to his legal defense fund.

Looks like this tweet has been deleted haha

Izzo did have COVID and at his age it may be still affecting him. Iā€™m not an MSU fan, just giving him the benefit of the doubt this year.

That being said he always complains about the refsā€¦the refs call a lot of fouls on MSU because they foul !!

I just read BQā€™s article. Izzo says itā€™s cause heā€™s not quite screaming at them enough, because what other conclusion could he come to

Lunardi has Michigan as a 1 seed and Ohio State as a 2 seed they have really climbed. Should be great game tomorrow Iowa and OSU.

Indianaā€™s offense in the 2H and OT was truly the worst Iā€™ve ever seen. It looked even worse schematically than whatever MSU was doing against Rutgers

Their spacing is atrocious.

The B1G has 5 of the top 11 teams on both Torvik and Kenpom, and Wisconsin is only one of them. Can we all admit the B1G is overrated now?

I feel like this guy had also previously reported this, but here it is again.

I donā€™t really get what the real benefit of this is unless the B1G NCAA tournament teams will be staying in Indianapolis after the BTT until the NCAA starts, rather than returning to campus?

Pretty sure the NCAA is recommending that teams that expect to make the NCAA Tournament donā€™t return to campus. In this case, it saves you the travel to the tournament.

That makes sense. Quite a long road trip though, sheesh.

The on the ground logistics also make a lot more sense in Indy. Hotels are closer, etc. I also suspect that they can get creative with social distancing in a massive venue like Lucas Oil as well.

Was wondering why Lucas Oil. That seems to make as much sense as anything.

Itā€™s not a bad thing to be able to get a couple games in at Lucas Oil before the NCAA Tournament starts. Thatā€™ll be an advantage for Big 10 teams.
