I agree… with the asterisk, *As long as they avoid the risk of positive covid tests right before the NCAA tournament
I’d prefer not to play in the BTT at all, but if they are going to have to play no matter what, Indy is the best option

I know we joke about Langford being old… but are we sure he isn’t a time traveler from 1985?
I’m just glad he has embraced his baldness. Nothing more foolish and sad than a person trying to ignore the inevitable. Anybody with plugs is even worse.
At this point I think it’s just muscle memory that he can’t overcome. Catch the ball outside the arc, take 2-3 dribbles, shoot.
I would also accept that he’s beginning to lose his faculties at his advanced age.
On a couple of those, he had his feet set to drive before the catch, even though there was no one near him.
They may also want IN instead of IL due to the respective state’s approach to mitigating Covid. Illinois is only now starting to consider opening up some provisions for sports/fans.
A few things to unpack here:
Wow. He’s open or wide open on the catch on more than a couple of those, too. Izzo needed to drill that out of him five years ago. Amazing that it’s still an issue as a super senior.
Best use of that meme I have yet to see.
Nate Oats would have Langford stapled to the bench
Iowa just doesn’t really play defense, it is hard to adjust to even when you watch them regularly. Teams might miss open shots, but you are going to get open jump shots.
Iowa with a 10-0 run on Iowa lite to take a 2 point lead and force an OSU TO
Nunge may have the purest stroke on the Iowa squad
I still think CJ Fredrick is a huge loss (not defensively, but it’s hard to just straight up outscore teams when the bad McCaffrey brother is his replacement)
Four of his last four from 3 after starting 4-of-29 this year.
Fredrick out of the lineup means that you can basically double off of his replacement more easily. But not if Nunge makes every three.
Also you take out a shooter and end up with lineups of Garza, the coach’s kids, Murray and Touissant/Nunge at points. Makes Iowa so much easier to defend when you can collapse on Garza with no 3 point threats out there.
That’s bonkers. It’s a high release with perfect arc and spin
Also I swear we were talking about Keegan Murray’s shooting at one point and someone told me there was no way it would regress but I can’t find the discussion.
He’s 0-7 from three over his last seven attempts after starting 8-of-18.
