There are just so many teams between the perceived contenders left on the schedule that I think anything can happen. Illinois wins 2 in a row and the whole thing looks very different.
Could happen for sure. I just personally think the top 4 are going to beat each other up and winning this thing will come down to minimizing bad losses. Iowa and Michigan have done that so far.
Frank Martin has gotten COVID twice
Eric Ayala back tomorrow.
DeAndre is a mole and has infiltrated the program
Phil Martelli calls Eli Brooksâ status âhour by hourâ and he âhad sneakers on today. I donât know that heâs ruled out for tomorrow night but heâs not ruled in.â
Any recent update on Penn St rescheduling? Looks like their postponed matchup versus Wisconsin is now on 1/27, which wouldâve been a date that worked for M.
No updates. The âcollapsible byesâ were designed so essentially everyone had openings in the schedule there. So it wasnât like they missed Michiganâs opening, they just put a different game in that spot.
Theyâve locked the three guys charged with figuring it out in an empty office, and theyâre sitting in there scratching themselves with wonder and worry.
Sneakers in this context meaning normal shoes, but still not practicing I assume?
I trust the medical and coaching staff to make the right call but if this could turn into a lingering thing, which a foot strain can, if you can shelve him this week you can buy another week before the Indiana game. I know he is needed but for the long haul maybe that is the right move. Hopefully he is 100 percent and itâs a moot point.
Phil said he was wearing sneakers today . No one followed up with did he practice. The staff is pretty coy about letting things out that would give an opponent an edge. Just like Terps are doing with Ayala situation.
I guess I was asking if weâre interpreting âsneakersâ as basketball shoes or everyday casual shoes.
I would say bbl shoes. Phil is old school like the rest of us older guys ha.
I think he meant basketball shoes. He meant that he at least was dressed at practice but maybe didnât do as much â at least thatâs my read.
Obviously we need Brooks back for many reasons and our guard depth and overall coherence on both sides of the floor suffers without him. But Maryland worries me a little less than Minnesota did since the game is at home and they play a bunch of wings more than they play any dominant guards.
I would expect Murray to certainly be drafted and possibly a 1st round pick based off what he has shown in limited action this year. Heck, Iâll be surprised if he stays at Iowa for 4 years.
Keegan is a stat sheet stuffer already as a frosh, rebounds and can hit the outside shot.
Numbers say heâs been huge for Iowaâs defense: 10 points per 100 possessions better when heâs on the court defensively.
Agreed, big fan of his. Good size and athleticism, and heâs a terrific shooter. Was he injured his senior year or something?
