Is Northwestern worse than Northwestern?
I think there is a mindset that goes on with lesser teams, If youāre facing a powerhouse team eg. Iowa and you canāt stop them. It really doesnāt matter how good your looks are because they will still need to hit an absolute ton of shots to even just stay close. Put it this way even if Northwestern hit 8 of 18 which is real good they would still be down 20. Northwestern has hit 45% of their shots and arenāt close in the game. It can really weigh on an opposition knowing you can hit shots but thereās still a great chance you canāt win the game.
I feel like NW got a lot of mileage off the blasting of MSU. Certainly time has shown that to not be much of an accomplishment.
I was asking what teams could be worse than Northwesternā¦
Now Beilein is preaching threes over long twos: āI donāt know what Penn State is teachingā¦ā
This is the coverage I pay for. And by that, I mean the build-up to that last sentence Staee troll job
Nebraskaās games this week are postponed
Is that five postponed games now for Nebraska?
Yep: Jan. 5 at Purdue, Jan. 13 Illinois, Jan. 16 at Maryland, Jan. 20 Minnesota, Jan. 24 at Iowaā¦
I donāt think Jan. 30 Penn State and Feb. 3 at Michigan State are even safe at this point.
Why was the Purdie game postponed but not the following one against Indiana? Trying to remember the circumstances but coming up blank.
The B1G not releasing any guidance for determining standings for unbalanced schedules gets stranger and stranger with every new cancellation.
Three observations from NW/Iowa:
-
Keegan Murray is easily the most versatile player for the Hawkeyes and could end up outdoing his dad.
-
Kopp should grow out his hair long and floppy and take the moniker Killer Mop
-
Bill Raftery is in the Sparky Anderson gene pool of guys who have looked 80 since they were 40.
Not exactly sureā¦ I assume a testing thing where they thought it was isolated but then more turned up?
We have got to be near the point of thinking that getting everybody all 20 games is doubtful. Probably puts Michigan at an advantage since they have a game in the tank against Nebraska. Yes have to make up PSU but as long as both teams stay healthy
Beilein spending a few minutes talking about the officiating farm system for the B1G instead of discussing the pivotal out of bounds call lol.
Might have to start thinking about what the BTT should look like also. Especially with the talk of moving to Indianapolis its clear they are making adjustments. Instead of all 14 teams and the Wednesday games do they just go to 12? Or even 8 or 10? Just to reduce the amount of teams and traffic there?
No one here is surprised. Should have been a first round pick
