Pitino should be on a much hotter seat seat imo. Still only been 3 years for Archie and he inherited little. Now the underperformance of one recruiting class has left IU where they are.

Really think what you see is what you get from both Archie and little Ricky. If I was an AD I would have no hesitation to throw either aside if Beilein wanted in.

I just thought about this with Indiana, I just don’t think coach b has it on him to do us like that, but that job is a big one that would have to be appealing in every other way besides screwing over your old team.

Especially considering our offense was bad (by our normal standards) last year and we lost 3 players to the draft early. Last year’s team was the 24th ranked offense on KenPom, and that’s where we are this year with no Poole, Iggy, Matthews and Livers for half the year. It’s insanely impressive.

If Goldy can’t win at home I don’t see them getting the requisite road wins to fuel that run.
Very surprised that IU went into the Barn and won by double digits. Archie probably saved his job tonight, assuming that a loss would’ve sent them into an even bigger downward spiral.

It’s only his third year. I don’t think he’s seriously coaching for his job. But next year he might be.
Yeah, you’re right. But missing the NCAA Tournament in his first three seasons would not be recommended.
One thing to keep in mind is that high major hoops is also just worse this year. Michigan’s offense was better last year on KP but is ranked the same because offense at the top is down overall.
That’s a fair point. But still, to be even in the same ball park being down 3.5 of our 6 quality rotation players this year and no Beilein is shockingly impressive IMO.
