Thought Oregon played pretty well last night. They neutralized Memphis’s athleticism pretty well and had some tough takes to the baskets. More nervous to get stuck playing them twice.
I was walking to my car after the game last night, and the guy walking behind me kept telling whoever he was with that our schedule is very weak, and that Creighton was the only tough game we’ll face before the new year. That was a long walk.

Reminds me of the time my buddy and I were walking back to the car after the opener to the 2013-14 season against UMass-Lowell and a group of students were bitching about Stauskas and saying that he sucked (among other less polite things). Hilarious.

We were at the US women’s soccer match against Costa Rica on Sunday night, and a guy sat down with three women behind us and proceeded to spread the most dizzying amount of disinformation. My fifteen year-old, sitting directly in front of him, sat there quietly saying, “No, she’s 20, not 25. No she played for Virginia, not North Carolina. No, they’re in a 1-3-1. No. . .” I guess it’s good that we all do feel so secure in what we know much of the time because if we reckoned with all we really don’t know and how fragile most of the knowledge we do have is we’d probably all live on the verge of nervous breakdowns. And of course young people do know it all, and also know that their elders don’t know anything!
Really excited for Ohio State/Villanova tonight… Big test to see if the Buckeyes are for real this year. Crazy to think back to last year and that team only won 6 regular season games after New Year’s.
Game that Ohio State should win at home if it is the team a lot of people think, but Villanova is the kind of program that can go on the road and win.

Good start for OSU. Side-note but their basketball court is absolutely beautiful.
Looks like it will be back-to-back years where Villanova gets run off the court by a B1G team.
Has anyone else had serious trouble with the Fox Sports website for streaming this season? It’s been awful for me.

Our 27 point win was better 
Impressive win by osu but a different type of blowout than us last year. Osu beat them down with a ridiculously hot shooting night, we just absolutely dismantled them in every way. It really looked like men vs boys in that um nova game last year.

They held Villanova to .8 points per possession. That’s dominant.

I’m sorry guys, but unfortunately, football this season is not the only sport we have to be worried about OSU for. They looked tremendous tonight and they have a nice mix of experience and talent on the roster, which is a pretty balanced roster.
Big ten with a big bounceback tonight as long as Northwestern and Purdue don’t choke
