Are we on the verge of a universe involving a double bye Rutgers?
Because every year my wife and I travel to the B1G tournament, we always “adopt” a team just in case U-M get bounced early (they pretty much don’t—we’ve been spoiled since we started going in 2012). Early indications say that Rutgers is that team. They play tough. The fan base is rabid and on board. They haven’t been in the Big Dance since Nirvana and Pearl Jam. We actually like the coach. Done deal.

I’m not sure the crowd at the Garden will be that pro Rutgers. We usually have a good showing in NYC.
It’s the first day I can drink after doing dry January so either way, I’ll be happy.

U-M better step up. It’s considered a damned “home” game for Blue. U-M also has to travel to the RAC on Feb. 19.
It’s not “considered” a home game. It is just played instead of a home game. Michigan would get credit for a neutral court win so it will be a Q1 game.

My mistake. Could end up being a Net win for U-M if they win that one.

If Michigan wins, it certainly helps the resume more. The issue is that there’s a higher chance that Michigan loses.

Amaker won his opener the year before too our current streak is 13 games which is kind of crazy

Wow. Does anyone know the context for Oturu’s apparent unhappiness with Stevens?
Minnesota goes to State College on February 8th. Safe to say that Oturu will be public enemy #1 and the postgame handshake line probably won’t be a warm one.
