No chance. Not nearly as athletic as Leonard. Below the rim rebounder and subpar quicks. Great kid, high GPA. Size alone will get him a D1 scholly, very difficult to see that being at M at this stage though.
Bigs just take longer. UM will have to take Bo Ryan’s cue and develop some of these guys first before elites bigs will consistently bite.
Yet he has taken college visits... RT @NextCats: Josh Jackson ... his mother says he's not being "recruited" http://t.co/qgIEDj07Ac

Just absurd.

Can you imagine the circus it will be dealing with Mama? She’s created her own You Tube channel to promote and get the facts out? I wouldn’t waste one second recruiting “them.”
Hey guys… Let’s work on splitting new topics into new threads… Might make things a little easier to keep track of. One off updates are great in this thread, but things like McQuaid decommitting or extended conversations can work better in different threads.
Guestavo, can you pass along your twitter handle so I can follow your great re-tweets?
Yeah I think JB’s recruiting approach is much more deliberate in relation to the rest of the field. I think other coaches put the full court press on kids when they want them whereas JB may tend to offer a kid, keep tabs and communicate, but I don’t think JB ‘sweats’ recruits, and I think that may hurt our recruiting at times. I think our culture is viewed as very conservative, although our on court culture is anything but.

True, but on the other hand, there has been no de-commitment.

And a series of interesting tweets from PGU, a site who is biased based but plugged in:
@UofAPointGuardU how is arizona looking with tj leaf?
— Blake L (@Blake_Littman) July 19, 2014
@Blake_Littman AZ/UCLA battle
— Point Guard U (@UofAPointGuardU) July 19, 2014
@UofAPointGuardU I know it was reported no pg in 2016 but with Dorsey gone cud that change and jump back in Thornton battle
— Jeff Nye (@j_nye30) July 19, 2014
@j_nye30 If Arizona wants to jump back into the Thornton recruitment it won't have a lot of ground to make up. Depends on roster.

Point Guard U was also the site that guaranteed Kameron Chatman was going to commit to Arizona.

Yeah I know but they are generally plugged in, not saying its gospel but food for thought. I’ve read UCLA as the leader for Leaf from a few other sites as well.

Anyone with a computer can appear plugged in. Unless I see something from that site I couldn’t get from a couple minutes online, I won’t sweat it at all.

No, I’m a 100% sure they are directly connected to Sean Miller’s staff.

Well, unless you can elaborate, it doesn’t do anything for me. And, like I said, when you go out on a limb and get something so wrong, you have to prove to me that you have something that’s not available with a couple minutes of googling before I care what you say.

Alright, well PGU is a forum and you are more than welcome to check them out, They may have gotten Chatman wrong, which was a bizarre recruitment that Sean Miller and Damon Stoudamire thought they had, but I’ve seen their admin call infinitely more recruitments correct. And it isn’t just PGU who thinks UCLA is at the top, most experts do (check 247) and even the biased IU guys says its a IU/UCLA battle. Can Leaf be UM bound? Sure but I wouldn’t bet on it at the moment.
Well, you follow this more closely than I do, so if you think they are getting right stuff that isn’t the conventional wisdom, I’ll trust you. As far as I can tell, though, there are a lot of people or sites out there with only remote, if any, real connections, who claim more significant insider knowledge than they have – and even for those that do, they only know as much as the last time they spoke to their connection. Case in point, if everyone is saying that Leaf is leaning toward UCLA or it’s a UCLA/their school battle, why should I make so much of PGU’s info? I like getting all the little tidbits and appreciate you passing them on, I just don’t make too much out of most of them.
Kyle Guy playing great again out here in Vegas. Has 17 points on 7-9 FG already early in second half. The kid can flat play. #iubb

Kyle Guy has been highly impressive in latter portions of this one. Stroking it from deep, passing it out top, hit on contested turnaround

I, personally like Josh Sharma a lot. Smart, Great weak side shot blocker but needs 15-20lbs, toughness rebounding, & develop a post game.

Xavier Tillman reminds me of Zach Randolph. Will have a bright future if he continues to produce.

Hard to tell about Williams and Brown? I certainly would take Davis before either. I think Kam coming to UM was his choice “supported” by his father. Tyus is likely going to have to “support” his dad’s choice, a differing dynamic to me.
At least we are out there “shaking the bushes” for talent. Most frustrating thing to me is that of all of our offers outstanding, we have yet to find the kid that “grew up dreaming about Michigan” and runs to commit when offered. Seems we are always the backup plan with everyone lately, and it’s not gonna change overnight.
