I agree and Langford would be far more ready from day 1, too.

This. I love Langford. He’s got some nice handling and passing skills for that big frame.
We can debate semantics all day, but at the end of the day Battle isn't likely to come here, and that's all that matters. Totally on board with Battle to Duke though, Would be better for us for DT, who im higher on anyways.
That’s 75% of this board.
Impressed with Towns and Moyer's ability to see over the defense and deliver the right past time after time. Good unselfish basketball

Great start for CIA Bounce SF Dillon Brooks. So versatile - almost a point forward. Doing a great job as a facilitator.

2015 6'6" F Dillon Brooks had a nice first half for CIA Bounce. Showed post up ability and nice touch around the rim. Has HM ability.

If Jamal Murray didn't pick Syracuse, Michigan or Michigan St it would be shocker. Has desire to play close to home. Illinois maybe limit!

Shake Milton is going to be a really nice 4 year player in college. Versatile, smart, and clutch. Trust him with the ball in his hands late.

Kenny Williams is a hell of a shooter, want to see more of a floor game.

Caught the second half of Coleman vs Battle…neither were particularly impressive. They rarely matched up vs one another, if at all.
Coleman - played lackluster zone D with soft close outs on shooters. Stroke looked good from deep, a few went in and out from midrange. Really knows how to use screens and proper angles to get space.
Battle - went prolonged periods without touching the ball, got frustrated and took some bad, off balance shots. The athleticism is what stood out today.
Overall I don’t put much into 1 game because these kids are playing 3 and sometimes 4 games a day depending if it’s pool play or brackets. My daughter plays for an EYBL team and these kids are rarely consistent from 1 game to the next let alone an entire tournament.
Overall thoughts:
Battle - can’t help but to think he’s a bit overrated as a top 20 player, he’s a very good athlete with a quick first step and good jumping ability but he doesn’t have a good shot and he needs more arch. Handle is average/above average. Still a very good player that I would love to have on the team (although that probably isn’t happening).
Coleman - great shooter off the bounce or catch and shoot, mechanics are the same on every shot. Average athlete overall, average/above average handle. Has enough quickness to be a decent defender but not great laterally. I think he’s great for UM, would love to have him.
On another note, I’ve been saying it for a while but ESA Ahmad is underrated. The guy isn’t great at anything but is above average at everything. Less athletic Wilson Chandler or slightly quicker Draymond Green. The guy can simply play. Prefer him over Towns because ESA is a really good rebounder.
Matt, Langford or Battle?
Haven’t really seen enough of Langford to be honest, have only seen 1 clip so I usually defer to your judgment in that regard. Do you have any recent film?
Not a lot of scouting reports or footage lately

and 2 months ago
The first thing that stands out about Langford to me is that he has a college ready body from a strength standpoint.
Certainly has a better handle/change of direction in relation to Battle, also a better passer. Seems like Battle may be a tad ahead in terms of athleticism though.
Not really much in the way of shooting from the clips above - is Langford a good shooter? Is there a discrepancy in his shooting off the bounce vs catch and shoot? Would need to know that before I can really give an informed preliminary opinion
2015 F Esa Ahmad will cut list to 7 or 8 at end of July. Ohio State, Maryland & West Virginia will make the list, @dibdable tells @SNYtv

CIA Bounce guard Jamal Murray is making a case for being considered one of the better scoring guards in the 2016 class. He's a tough shot-maker and can score at all three levels. At 6-foot-4, he's also got some combo guard potential down the road.Team Scan guard Tyus Battle found his perimeter stroke early and often in a win over Boo Williams. Within minutes of the start of the game, the 6-foot-5 wing already had eight points on a pair of threes before finishing with 17 points.
Shake Milton made clutch plays down the stretch for Mokan Elite in a last-minute win over All-Ohio Red. With his team down 40-38, Milton scored eight straight points to seal the 46-40 win. The 6-foot-5 combo guard had Baylor’s Drew eyeing him, along with assistants from Indiana, Oklahoma State and others.

Bowen will have all the blue bloods beating down his door very shortly. Still remember seeing him in junior high. Hard to not see Kyle Anderson in him. Anxious to see his progress as he grows into his body.
UCLA is turning into NC State with their offers, how many do they have out now, 40? Have to question their sincerity with some of these kids.

Love to hear that, hope he keeps improving. Saw him twice last winter and he is WAY to mechanical and slow for high D1 at this stage. Compounding development is the lack of size and competition in his HS league, summer is time to measure his growth against better competition.
