It was a regular foul call and then Moussa did nothing until Duren grabbed his face. Nothing would have happened if Duren didn’t do that. Duren instigator, Stewart bench instigator (huge no no), Moussa was a reactor, and Bridges well yea, great guy that Miles Bridges. Should definitely be in the league that guy, very respectable.

If Duren gets more than one game is he banned from the all star weekend?
I would penalize in the following order, least punishment to most
Moussa
Duren
Stew
Bridges
In real life Stew will get the harshest

Moussa escalated after a hard foul by getting into Duren’s face and soft-head butting him. That’s probably a tech? Duren escalated off that. Moussa blew up. It was a series of escalations. Calling Moussa the reactor doesn’t seem accurate though.

Ehhhh nothing? Hard frustration foul by Moussa but nothing crazy of course. Then they both square up and Moussa gives a light head tap and Duren responds with the smush. I think both escalated at various points with Moussa doing the final escalation

Yea i think Stew definitely gets the most severe punishment because it’s very well established you can’t leave the bench. And especially not leave the bench to do that hahah. They should consider the subject he was going after when determining the suspension though.

I watched the game on delay and my phone got an alert about the fight so I was watching and wondering what happened when. All I knew was that Moussa was involved.
There was some physicality on a few consecutive plays leading up to the schedule where Duren wanted fouls called, some (all?) which didn’t and on this play, Moussa wrapped him up. It looked like maybe Duren said something, and they went face to face. Moussa leaned in with his forehead and Duren shoved his face away and Moussa took a swing and lost it.
Bridges took a swing at Duren before Stew left the bench.
I think Diabate and Duren get suspended a game, Bridges gets at least 2 for escalating, and Stew gets at least 2 for leaving the bench and escalating.
I think what Bridges did is worse but Stewart will get gigged for leaving the bench and for his rep

Luckily, a couple of coaches kept Paul Reed from following Stew and and it was also lucky that Holland wasn’t at the game.

An aside- I was really surprised that the crowd started chanting something like “Let’s go Hornets!” after the fight instead of something like “Detroit sux!”
