OKC Thunder pre-Finch ejection: 25-2. Post-Finch ejection: 5-5.

Just thought it was interesting

lol it’s not

As much as everyone likes to whine about them, the Thunder aren’t in the top 10 teams in fouls drawn and are 3rd in fouls committed.

It has more to do with SGA than the Thunder.

shai is shooting 7 free throws per game in this ten game stretch to a seaon average of like 8

(edit: I guess it’s closer to 9, but that doesn’t really suffice as an explanation for why they lost by 30 to Charlotte)

They lost again tonight. This time to the Wiz. Make it 6-7 without Franz.

Honestly surprised by the Pistons as the best team in the last month considering they lost to Utah, LAC and Miami.

Did you just say SIX-SEVEN?

With Joker and Giannis likely going to be under the 65 game threshold, I think there’s a legitimate argument for Cade to be the MVP. SGA is the favorite, but with the Pistons having the 2nd best record in the league, Cade deserves more consideration.

Without Joker and Giannis, I’d rank SGA, Cade, Jaylen as my top 3 MVP this season.

It’s interesting because you may have a point. You need to play 76% of games. Using the Dunks & Threes EPM model (not perfect, but not bad for broad strokes here), your EPM top 10 is:

Jokic (played 89%, but will drop)

Shai (97%)

Giannis (61%)

Wembanyama (61%)

Curry (73%)

Cade (92%)

Kawhi (71%)

Mitchell (89%)

Doncic (79%)

Holmgren (86%)

Now, it’s not particularly close - Jokic, SGA, and Giannis are way ahead of everyone (the gap from Giannis at #3 to Wembanyama at #4 is as big as the gap from Wembanyama (#4) and Jimmy Butler (#15).

But yeah, seems like Cade is likely to be top 3 at least?

This is also going to make All NBA wild

First team could be all guards! Shai, Cade, Mitchell, Brunson, Brown, or Ant

The WIZARDS?!

Sort of says something about Trae

It obviously has a lot to do with who wants to trade him. I would say it’s not coincidental that there are reports of a possible trade with the Wizards and then 2 days later Trae saying yeah I want to go to the Wizards

It’s more like “yes I am ok with being traded to the Wizards” rather than “yes I want to be traded to the Wizards more than anywhere else in the league!”

My assumption is that it’s also driven by their stated desire to sign him to a contract of a specific size, as well
