They already played this team close bc Carlik went off and we did a bunch of dumb stuff. Obviously we have WAY more talent but we’ve been playing closer than we should for all the reasons we’ve listed.

Right, they played badly and ate ridiculous shooting variance. I just think the expectation vs. South Sudan, even considering what recently happened, is that it’s not close
For me it’s less about the individual results of today’s game and more looking ahead to the elimination matchups and how the team is jellling

well you said recently lol and Karl and Brown were not at all recent. Also the coach is pretty low on my list of things that matter. K happened to get to coach during an era of pretty solid continuity.
Not that he didn’t do a good job, but they actually made those guys play a regional FIBA tournament and the WC together leading in to 2012

Yeah, same. I want to see them take care of business against a roster where you don’t see anybody that’s clearing replacement level in the NBA.
Also FWIW the nice thing about replev and average is we know what that looks like in point differential! The lineups we’re putting out there should beat an NBA average team by like 20 and a replev team by 30 in 100 possessions.

5 TOs from Lebron in 12ish mins. Half of them have lead directly to baskets by SSD.
Funny thing that the starting group switched AD and Embiid and now AD has a negative +/-
Think we’ve fallen to the ground 3 times this half leading to 8 SSD points.

Missing shots happen but it seems like that is carrying over on D.
That’s fair. I was mainly talking about the men’s team because I was shocked when looking up their roster. They have Jimmer Fredette which is fun.
Case in point though, I’m watching the men’s 3x3 game right now against Poland and one of these guys shoots his FTs granny style lol
