Not sure I get why MSU hiring Drew Valentine is natural. Wouldn’t he make more sense as a successor to Greg Kampe at Oakland?

Umm Oakland is a step below Loyola now that they’re in the A10. If Drew is successful he’ll be on HM programs. It’ll be a few years though as he basically has to rebuild now.
He worked at the program as a GA, is from Lansing and has a familial relationship to the program. Seems pretty clear. Oakland is already a stepdown for Drew unless he fails at Loyola

First team to 80 wins this Alabama vs Notre Dame game
Bama has such a weird statistical profile. 12th in 3P rate, tempo and ORTG, 8th in 2P% but 306 in 3P%. They’re 104th in DRTG after being 3rd last year.
On an individual level Jahvon Quinerly, who just left the game for them with an injury, is shooting 28% on 176 3P attempts after shooting 43% on 120 attempts last year.
