What is the difference between Kessler and Dickinson? Is Kessler that more agile and active on D?

Kessler is basically a top 10 defense by himself

yes, he is a shot altering lunatic

Clearly Yale suffered an emotional letdown from the misspelling of their championship t-shirts. There was no coming back from that.

Kessler is one of the best rim protectors in college basketball.

I haven’t watched him much, but Kessler seems to have a longer reach and to have more quick-twitch lift. Hunter doesn’t get off the ground much and is a little slower to do so. I think Hunter is stronger, but Kessler just is more agile and springy.

I see MT ST on the score bug and it keeps making me think Middle Tennessee State.

I knew Middle Tennessee State. Middle Tennessee State was a friend of mine. You, Montana State, are no Middle Tennessee State.

I don’t remember that being part of his high school scouting report weirdly enough

I just tuned into the Texas Tech/ Montana St game simply to see what it looks like when one team is in the 70’s and the other is in the 30’s

Def a lot to play out. Todays result is an interesting one as far as where he goes from here. Loyola loses 6 seniors from a team that finished 4th in the valley and joins a better conference (A10 next year). And I think he’s very aware of all that.

It’s definitely one of a handful jobs he would consider destination jobs. I also get the sense it is not his “dream job” the way many would perceive it to be from conversations with him. Also don’t get the sense MSU views him as the likely successor (at least not the way I think they should).

My honest guess is he takes another high major job while Izzo is still at MSU, and if it’s a big enough destination it’s not a given he would go running to East Lansing as soon as they call.

Looks like springtime high / low temperatures in Texas.

Turn on the heat overnight and the AC in the afternoon….

If I’m MSU, why am I hiring Drew Valentine? So far, all he’s shown is that he could keep Porter Moser’s team from cratering too badly. Sure, he’s family, and he might eventually be a great coach, but I don’t see why MSU would hire him anytime soon.

Because he’s by far the best mix of potential + history within the program. There’s some Mel Tucker style vibes to hiring him whenever Izzo calls it quits. He’d recruit extremely well, I think that’s evidenced by him convincing 4 kids who were all key rotation guys that graduated to come back to school an extra year post-COVID for a brand new head coach, plus nabbing two high level transfers and pulling some top 150 level kids in his short time as head coach.

If the counterargument is they would be better off firing money cannons at an established great coach, I’d agree. But if the likely competitor is Dwayne Stephens (which I think it is), they would be 1,000 times better served hiring Valentine IMO

the iron unkind. layup halfway down for Delaware rattles out, then Nova makes some junk.
