2022 NCAA Tournament Open Thread

Canes are choking on applesauce.

Man, I hated that call – the shot was blocked into oblivion, the foul (if there was one) was irrelevant to the play.

Just letting everyone know that Silvio De Sousa and Chattanooga will destroy Illinois tonight

Ugh, Notre Dame is gonna be last year’s UCLA and the ACC is gonna be last year’s PAC12, aren’t they?

If that means that the SEC is last year’s Big Ten, I think I’d take that trade, given tomorrow’s opponent…

I mean never say never, but an offense first team that barely beat Rutgers and is beating a Quinerly-less Bama doesn’t seem to be a great matchup vs TTU

maybe all those people who lost their minds over 14 losses getting an 11 seed should have saved some outrage for 13 losses getting a 6 seed

Hey, give Alabama some credit: you don’t just walk into Athens, Georgia and walk out with a loss. That takes work.

Seriously. Bama was only a few spots higher than us on the NET, KenPom etc but they got a much better seed?

I think we’re seeing this year that Franz Wagner and Herb Jones are great defensive players.

Alabama has more marquee wins, balanced out by more questionable losses. Apparently the committee weighted the wins (e.g., Gonzaga on a neutral court).

I swear to the Holy Father, Allah, and Beelzebub, if Notre Dame is this year’s UCLA I will end myself.

I’m sorry to keep beating a dead horse. How terrible is this day so far? 2 upsets but in both cases they were low seeded high major teams and one of them was a blowout for most of the second half.

The closest margin of victory besides the 1 game that went down to the wire was 13 points, and that was one of the ugliest tourney games I’ve ever seen (54-41 OSU win)

Who is Notre Dame’s next opponent?

…Texas Tech. END THEM.

Putting my faith in TTU’s proven ability to ruin absolutely everything.

Also for all the trashing of the ACC, they are now 4-0 in the tourney. Virginia Tech is probably going to lose making it 4-1. Their teams are also 2-0 in the NIT
