Xavier Tillman. He looked a lot like Glen “Big Baby” Davis out there. I didn’t even recognize him, at first.
He slid under Ivey as he took the three and is the reason Ivey hurt his ankle. Was a flagrant.
Don’t you mean Xavier Tillman, Sr? Honestly, I hate that trend in sports. The first and last time it was relevant was with the Griffeys. If your dad isn’t on your team or wasn’t a legend in the game, there is no way fans will be confused and no reason to add Jr, II, or whatever to your jersey. There are fewer reasons to ever add Sr to your jersey. No one knows who your kid is and unless you are determined to hold your team hostage so they draft your kid (looking at you, LeBron), there is no confusion among fans. I’m happy that you’re a proud dad and somehow convinced your spouse to give your kid your name, but your last name and number on your jersey is wholly sufficient. [/weird_rant]
I find it super charming when new dads put Sr. on their jersey
Franz finished 2nd on the Magic in PNR possessions (a full season of games helps), FWIW. Probably more of a secondary guy (behind Anthony/Suggs) as primaries, but he played on the ball a lot last year.

no really. Marcus Morris was the first NBA player to wear it. It meant a lot to him because he grew up without a father. I just think it’s nice! but I also understand sartorial takes on uniform stuff. there are details that catch my eye for good and bad reasons, for sure
I don’t like the debut of jersey #0 in football for example
Strangest athlete. Sometimes he couldn’t get off the floor to finish but other times he glides through the air and looks like he can dunk it twice in one jump.
It was a great fit for sure.
Still can’t believe they landed Ivey and Duren.
Possibly the best guard in the draft with probably the best 5. Speeds up that rebuild.
Watching Z and Houstan playing together is surreal.
It was actually Tim Brando’s bumbling compatriot, Spencer Tillman.
Well, Z was pretty active (5 steals), but he missed a skyhook ;(
Caleb looked awful. 0-6 from 3 in 30 minutes and didn’t do much else.
Spencer would have to go hard to keep up with Brando’s bumbling, if last season was any indication.
Here’s one he didn’t miss:
Maybe he just needed a taller defender to score over?
Pelicans second-round pick E.J. Liddell suffered a torn ACL in his right knee during a Vegas Summer League game on Monday, according to a team press release.
I feel bad for him. Tough break
Not to dunk on any draft night takes, because it’s summer league, so a grain of salt, but David Roddy has been quite good.
