Centripetal force!
I think it’s pretty obviously Jomentum.
I understand why he got benched but when you’re shooting 15% from 3 in a 7 point game, maybe it’s time to give Duncan a peep.
Yeah, watched the last half of the game - Heat look like Jimmy Butler and a bunch of nobodies (aside from a few nice takes from Oladipo). Was wondering if they benched Duncan because Strus was a superior defender - then watched Philly go right at him multiple times and all he did was foul.
Gotta think Spoelstra goes to Duncan next game the way Miami is shooting with him on the bench. If not…well, might be the end of the road.
*Edit - I will say that Bam looked good cleaning up some messes and especially denying Embiid the ball in crunch time
Strus is a superior defender, which isn’t to say he’s not generally the worst one on the floor for them.
Strus also shot better from 3 this year than Duncan.
I’d argue that PJ Tucker is a defensive luxury a team scoring as poorly as them can’t afford, and if they’re in a hole, they may want to try both Strus and Duncan to open things up a bit.
FWIW DARKO thinks that Duncan’s true talent FG3% has fallen dramatically in the last month or two. Wonder if there’s not an injury or a some strange mechanical bad habit at work there.
I don’t know the data well enough, but I wonder about both sample size and in the last few games they’re playing playoff quality teams who tend to be better at scouting and defense for those series. While Duncan’s numbers are trending lower, the actual % is basically the same as Strus.
The amusing thig is that he shot 41%+ from 3 over the last 18 games he played.
So I don’t know what the h e double hockey sticks this is smoking.
Perhaps a stupid question: is this quantifying games in which he is not playing?
I believe the idea is that not playing esp. via coach’s decision is also informative, so yes. I would also guess opponent and non-3pt shooting stats factor into that. But I wouldn’t say I have a strong enough understanding of what DARKO is doing so I really don’t know.
both of these teams have got that dawg in them
Al Horford has inspired me to get my old behind back out on the court for some cardio.
I’m not exactly sure how the Bucks won that game.
Big win for Milwaukee. Stole that game with huge plays down the stretch
I just checked the scoreline and I can’t believe the Bucks won that game. I completely agree, Celtics have that cutting edge to them but so do the Bucks, and they have championship experience to boot.
That rules so hard. Giannis so good. Jrue so good. Boston tears delicious.
Yes. Boston, ugh, is a great team but get wrecked lol
That was a wonderful finish and this is a fantastic series. SVG surprisingly dull as a color guy.
SVG vvv good. Bad opinion! Almost like you like the Celtics or something!
Great team wins that game. Jaylen and Jayson had a ton of looks late. Smart took their highest leverage shot.
